Chia Suggs began her tenure as the Executive Assistant to the Publisher in October 2018. Born in Dallas, Texas, she was raised and has lived in metro Atlanta since she was a child. The communities the Atlanta Voice covers are the communities she grew up in, cares about, and still has family in. Following careers in the airline industry for Delta Air Lines, and law enforcement fields for Fulton County and Clayton County, she entered the newspaper business to continue doing what she could to help inform the Black communities of the city that she loves. Along with duties as the Executive Assistant, she is also the Advertising Administrator for print and online ad sales. Married to a journalist, Chia is a mother of a daughter, Kayla, and son, Chase. She enjoys vacations with her family, buying art and interior decorating. She graduated from Riverwood High School in Atlanta before attending South Georgia College in Douglas, GA.
